Committee members volunteer their time and expertise and are essential to the success of Council Committees. The District of Summerland currently has openings on the following Committees:

Advisory Planning Commission (APC)

(Various terms - meeting monthly)

●The APC acts in an advisory capacity on land use applications such as zoning and Official Community Plan amendment applications. Members of the committee receive information from staff and make recommendations based on this information.

Board of Variance (BOV)

(3yr Term - meeting as required)

●The BOV meets only when required to make decisions on applications for claims of hardship related to variances to the District’s Zoning Bylaw.

Council will review all applications received and make appointments at a meeting in June.
