1. What do I do if there is an unplanned power outage?
If there is a power outage during regular business hours, please contact Works and Infrastructure at 250-494-0431. For afterhours events, call our emergency line at 250-493-0005 and we will be happy to assist you. When an outage occurs, we send crews out to assess the incident and provide a solution and repairs as quickly as possible. Whenever possible, we will endeavour to update the current status of the power outage via social media.
2. What do I do if I see downed power lines?
If you see downed power lines, sparks, or fire around power lines or any other hazard please call 911 and stay away from the obstruction.
3. How do I pay my electrical bill?
Utility bills may be paid through online banking at your financial institution, or by cash, cheque, or debit card with the Cashier at Municipal Hall, 13211 Henry Avenue, 8:15am to 5:00pm, Tuesday to Friday. The District does accept payment with select credit cards through the secure OptionPay System (with applicable third party fees).
